Trump Media & Technology Group, owner of Truth Social, is launching a paid service to give Wall Street firms high-speed access to its most influential posts. The firm said the new product, named Truth API, will launch on 1 August and deliver instant updates from selected accounts to paying institutional clients in milliseconds. The service is designed for traders who need to see market-moving posts quickly, with the feed operating 24/7.
The company notes that markets already react to Truth Social posts, and executives say the paid feed should provide a steady new revenue stream for a loss-making business. The move marks a closer convergence between Trump Media’s data assets and trading activity, as some firms have reportedly copied its data without permission in recent months. Trump Media also cautioned that it will block unauthorized methods, pushing firms to subscribe to the official feed.
Since the Trump family remains the majority shareholder, President Trump stands to profit directly from expedited access to his public statements. The BBC sought comment on whether his posts will be included in the paid feed but did not receive a response. The arrangement highlights the overlap between the private media venture and the president’s public role, a factor that investors may weigh when assessing the firm’s strategy and potential profitability in a rapidly evolving data economy.
